Help Desk from The Washington Post gives audiences the tools to understand technology and let it better serve their lives.
This was one of my first projects at The Post where I owned the creative direction from the ground up: developing the illustration style, defining the animation language, and making the key creative calls with my CD's oversight. The only constraint provided to me was a color palette so I could align with editorial.
With the creative mine to shape, the result was a system of malleable, expressive icons brought to life through cheeky animation that ran as YouTube pre-roll. This placement marked a pivotal moment for the Brand Studio as it began investing in strategic media to broadcast creative work in front of broader audiences.
