Scanner began as a typeface designed in the proportions of body text – with a twist. The interior facets are nearly invisible at a small point size, but in display size, come to life fully and reward anyone who looks closely enough.

This motif is intentional. Scanner is built around the idea that the most interesting things reveal themselves when you lean in. What started as a residency project at SVA has since grown into a full type family, developed in collaboration with mentors and the type community, with its own art direction and purchase available upon request.
